Who We Are:
Team Rev was organized by Laura Revello. Laura started inviting friends fto run with her, and Team Rev has participated almost every year since 2011, even after Laura got married, moved, moved again, and moved again! Mara Kurlandsky started running with her at the beginning, and brought on Ben Ostrower to run for the first time in 2015.
Why We're Running:
Laura lost her father to glioblastoma at age 20, and within the next decade, also lost her mother to the same disease. Ben lost his dad as a teenager to glioblastoma. We believe no one should have to suffer a diagnosis of this disease, or lose a loved one to it. We're running in honor of the parents who should still be with us, and with the hope that we can eradicate the disease in our lifetimes.
Cancer SUCKS. But the Race for Hope provides just that: hope. It's a fun run with an uplifting atmosphere, and there are always popsicles. If you'd like to run with Team Rev-O, contact Laura or Mara. If you can't join us in DC, we hope you'll consider making a donation in honor of the Revellos, the Ostrowers, or anyone else you know who has been affected by brain cancer.
About the Race for Hope DC:
Presented by Cushman & Wakefield, Race for Hope DC raises funds to support innovative research initiatives and provide information for brain tumor patients and their families. This amazing event relies on the dedication and enthusiasm of individuals, families, teams, volunteers, sponsors and donors. Thank you for your support in helping us find a cure for brain tumors!
